What this site is
Garden Route Stays is a curated self-catering accommodation directory for the Garden Route region of South Africa. We list apartments, villas, guest houses and holiday homes across six coastal towns, with editorial context to help you choose. All bookings are made on Booking.com under Booking.com's own terms and conditions — we don't take reservations on this site.
Our role
We're a directory with opinions. We don't own, operate, manage or represent any of the properties listed. We don't handle payments, cancellations, refunds, check-in arrangements or guest disputes. If something goes wrong with a booking, that's between you, Booking.com and the property owner.
Information accuracy
Property information — descriptions, photos, amenities, location — is sourced from Booking.com's publicly available listings. Rates and availability shown on our site (where they appear) are not live and may be out of date by hours, days or longer. Always click through to Booking.com to confirm current pricing, availability and house rules before booking.
Editorial text, headings and intros are often written or rewritten by us. Where we've paraphrased a listing we've aimed to stay accurate to the property, but the canonical source is always the Booking.com page.
Affiliate relationship
We are a Booking.com affiliate and earn a commission on bookings made via links on this site. The commission is paid by Booking.com out of its own margin — you pay the same price whether you click through us or book direct. Affiliate income has no bearing on which properties are listed or how they're ranked; we curate based on quality and fit, not payout.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by South African law, Garden Route Stays is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from booking decisions made on the basis of information shown here, or from any dealings with Booking.com or individual properties. If a listing on our site turns out to be wrong in some way, your recourse is with Booking.com and the property owner, not with us.

All original editorial content — town guides, property intros, blog articles, photography taken by us — is copyright Garden Route Stays 2021–2026. Property photographs sourced from Booking.com are used under Booking.com's affiliate program terms and remain the property of Booking.com or the listing owner.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date above changes. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them falls under the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
