Outside, a sun terrace with a jacuzzi and an outdoor fireplace make the evenings worth staying in for — the lagoon stretches out in front of both.

Bollard Bay Beach is under four kilometres away by road, making it a reasonable drive for a morning swim before returning to the terrace. The design is considered without being fussy — the kind of apartment that photographs well but also functions well, where the layout and the outlook do most of the talking.

Situated on a hill overlooking the Knysna Lagoon, Maison Mahogany - with its breathtaking lagoon views from nearly every part of the house - is your perfect spot to live the Knysna lifestyle to the max. Water, air, earth: feel connected to the elements again. A solid wood house with a living roof to create a climate of tranquility, joyful- and healthiness.
The main house welcomes you with a spacious lobby. Eat and drink at the large dining table with wonderful views over the Knysna Lagoon and cook in the well equipped kitchen. On the 49' sized Samsung 4K TV, there is complimentary Netflix streaming available.
All our units do offer pellet fireplaces and oil radiators for you to stay warm during the winter season.
Wake up in the bedroom in an length king size platform bed with spectacular views over the Lagoon. The bedroom also offers a colourful ensuite bathroom with underfloor heating and a spacious walk in shower, bath tub and direct view at the Knysna heads.
The main house also has a guest bathroom with walk-in shower and underfloor heating, a south deck with a lunch / dinner table and most of all amazing views over Knysna and the lagoon towards the heads. The north deck is a great place for a chilled time sitting in the outside lounge overlooking our beautiful garden.
Important: Please let the host know in advance if you are planning to use the solar-powered Jacuzzi during your time at the Main House. It takes the solar-powered Jacuzzi (real-time sun powered!) about 6-8 hours to reach temperature, also depending on conditions. The daily solar-powered Jacuzzi heating times are from 10 am to 14:30 pm and from 15:00 pm to 18:00 pm. Please plan your usage accordingly. As our Jacuzzi is running purely on solar / sun power and as the sun sets in the evening, the heating stops at 18 pm. Please note: Availability of the fully solar-powered Jacuzzi not guaranteed (as e.g. hardware outages or weather conditions can't be controlled by us).
