About George
George is a city within the Western Cape of South Africa, on the south side of the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains, with around 157,400 inhabitants.
George lies on the sea-coast roughly 300 km east of Cape Town on the famed Garden Route. George is the economic capital of the Garden Route. In the region, sightseeing attractions which includes the large beaches of Herolds Bay, Victoria Bay and Wilderness, the ostrich town of Oudtshoorn and Knysna featuring a exquisite lagoon, have been part of the Garden Route National Park since March 2009 .
