Fishing in Robberg Nature Reserve
The splendor of the South African coastline, especially that which can be seen along the internationally known Garden Route, is on full display at the Robberg Nature Reserve.
Seeing as how the peninsula is protected as both a natural reserve and a Historic Site, it is a unique destination for people traveling throughout South Africa or staying in Plettenberg Bay for an extended period.
The Robberg Marine Reserve may also be found here, and it encompasses an area that is one nautical mile in circumference around the reserve. This reserve was established with the dual goals of preserving marine life and educating visitors about it.
Rock fishing and surf angling are allowed within the reserve’s boundaries. However, permits are necessary. Postal service locations often have desks devoted to Marine and Coastal Management where you may get these. Within Robberg’s boundaries, fishing from boats, spearfishing, and collecting bait are prohibited activities.
