AfriCanyon River Experiences was established to publicize the breathtaking chances for kloofing and canyoning found in the remote and beautiful gorges of The Crags, located all along the Garden Route.
Adventurers will have to wade through fast-flowing rivers, slide down freshwater slides, zipline over mountain lakes and rivers, swim in crystal-clear ponds, and abseil down majestic waterfalls while enjoying the gorgeous river gorge as they go. AfriCanyon is the best option for you whether this is your first time canyoning or you have a lot of previous experience with the sport.
The well-informed and experienced guides will always put your safety first, but they will also ensure you have a great time. Two different adventure packages may be purchased.
Full Monty
One package includes the typical canyoning excursion swimming, optional jumps, and abseiling. Ziplining, which involves flying over the scenery while hanging in a harness, is also included.
Short
This excursion is more efficient since it takes place in a canyon that is “dipped” for a shorter distance and involves swimming, optional leaps, and abseiling.
AfriCanyon welcomes explorers from all over the world, including from South Africa, and provides them with all of the equipment and instruction they need to have a safe and enjoyable experience. South Africa’s indigenous flora, tucked away in some of its most remote valleys, can now be seen in all its glory.
The Crags may be reached from Plett in a matter of minutes, and Knysna can be reached between 20 and 30 minutes afterward. These two teeny-tiny coastal communities are perfect destinations for various activities, including whale and dolphin watching excursions, world-class cuisine, and water sports of all kinds.
