Discover the excitement of a totally unique trip while traveling the Garden Route. Visitors who want to experience canyoning in Plettenberg Bay’s stunning surroundings and with a healthy dose of adrenaline are invited by AfriCanyon.
The purpose of AfriCanyon River Adventures is to promote the breathtaking kloofing and canyoning options in the remote, lush valleys of The Crags along the Garden Route. To complete this experience, you’ll have to wade through the river, zipline over mountain pools, swim in fresh water, abseil down spectacular waterfalls, and take a dip low in the picturesque river valley.
AfriCanyon is the best option whether you’ve done canyoning before or have a lot of experience. Safety always comes first for the skilled, seasoned guides, with plenty of enjoyment coming in second.
Two expedition packages are offered:
The Full Monty Package
The normal canyoning experience is included in this package, along with swimming, optional jumps, abseiling, ziplining, and flying over the sceneries while wearing a suspended harness.
Short Package
This trip is shorter and includes swimming, optional jumps, and abseiling in addition to a shorter canyon “dip.”
Every day of the week, AfriCanyon is available to thrill-seekers from all over the world. These valleys of South Africa’s natural flora, which would otherwise be concealed from view, give up a whole new world of beauty.
The Crags is just a short drive from Plett, and Knysna is between 20 and 30 minutes away by car. These two little seaside communities are wonderful destinations for water sports, fine eating, and fantastic whale- and dolphin-watching excursions.
