Walking Keurboomstrand
The trip from Keurboomstrand to Nature’s Valley, if you’re up to it, is around a 3-kilometer walk away if you’re fit. You’ll want to bring your camera since the beach is surrounded by wooded headlands and rock formations that will make you want to snap away.

About
On the shore, you’ll see black oystercatchers, mussels on the rocks, as well as awe-inspiring rock formations. To get to the beach that acts as the Matjes River estuary, you’ll have to squeeze between two enormous boulders at the end of the main beach.
You may get to the strandloper cave, also known as the Matjes River Rock Shelter, by following the signs that say ‘To Cave’ up the hill from the river.
There are signs detailing the history of the cave, which has been used as a shelter by the Khoisan people for centuries.
