About George
George is a town within the Western Cape of South Africa, around the south side of the beautiful Outeniqua Mountains, with roughly 157,400 residents.
George is situated the coast roughly 300 km east of Cape Town on the prominent Garden Route. George is the economic capital of the Garden Route. In the vicinity, sightseeing opportunities such as the large beaches of Herolds Bay, Victoria Bay and Wilderness, the ostrich town of Oudtshoorn and Knysna featuring its exquisite lagoon, have been part of the Garden Route National Park since March 2009 .
